Imagine dancing with your found, foraged and gifted crafting materials and the emergence of a lantern that will dance with you as you walk beside the Anglesea River.
Your lantern will embody your love for the river and its inhabitants while your materials will largely be ephemeral and biodegradable - other than your light source which, for safety reasons, will likely be plastic.
The RIVER LIGHTS WALK is a collaborative happening that is forming and growing with generous contributions from many.
Artists from near and far are invited to become part of the experience. You can contact me, join us for a shed lanterning meet-up or just turn up - with or without a lantern.

Is a river alive? - A Conversation with Robert Macfarlane
In this conversation, acclaimed author Robert Macfarlane asks the ancient and urgent question: is a river alive? Understanding rivers to be presences, not resources, he immerses us in the ways they “irrigate our bodies, thoughts, songs, and stories,” and how we might recognize this within our imagination and ethics.
